LAST DAY OF SPRING TERM! I'm at the uni lab at the moment, waiting for my next lecture. I actually had a pretty long post typed up yesterday but for some reason it got deleted and now, I guess I'm gonna have to type from the beginning.

With Souri at the BBQ.

The BBQ was a massive hit and about 39 people attended making it a great success. Fol and Mike enjoyed themselves making the starter and main dishes.. and most of the desserts were consumed quite quickly or taken home by people. I'd like to say thank you to the people that donated food, money for this event and I hope we'll do this again soon. Unfortunately, it won't be hosted by me next year as I'll be moving out on my own to an apartment in town.

The peanut butter biscuits finished quite quickly, I guess a lot of people enjoy the taste of peanut butter as much as daddy and I do. It was one of days when I was missing my dad a lot and I decided to google for recipes of the biscuits he loves so much. I made them weeks just for the sake of making them and Fol suggested that I ought to make some for the BBQ. So, I started making them and Syer and Mas finished it up for me.

So what have I been up to lately? I've decided that I'm not going to live in Wallace Road next year and so, my room is up for grabs for people that might be interested. BUT take note that they will need to pay for summer rent whether they have lived here or not because that's just the way it goes. I mean, I didn't live in Wallace but I paid not for one, but two, summer rents to cover for the other bedroom since no one was going to take it. £630 could have bought me lots of things :-(

Wallace Road is on a mission to empty it's fridge. We're half way through with the freezer... and there's probably some bits and pieces that need eating in the refrigerator. It's just two weeks until Easter break, then I'm off to Rome for a few days and then we'll be back in London for my birthday. Fol's trying to get tickets for us to see Avenue Q, it's this puppet show that I've been wanting to see. My favourite quote comes from the soundtrack, so it'll be interesting to see how it's actually sung.

I got over my paranoia the other day, I was just worried about my other half because I couldn't find him throughout the day. I was in a foul mood anyway, so it didn't help that Fol went MIA. Last week was a busy week for me with three course works due in, this week is no different. I've got a Company Law essay due in this Friday and I just completed my Statistical Modelling coursework that's due in on Thursday. I'm still reading the last few topics of my law book before I can tackle the essay, but it's okay. I've got most of Tuesday to do it and up to Friday to finish it up.

I had lunch with Souri on Wednesday last week (after convincing Qian to skip class with us), we talked about how we hadn't gone out together for a while. It feels great seeing her and talking to her, she's one of the few people I feel very comfortable talking to about silly things I've done. We talked about boyfriend(s), friends and what we've been up to lately. I see her about once a week, and we make time to sit and chat. The other week after we had lunch (I think it was on a Friday), I went with her and sat in her Algebra lecture. I couldn't understand a word her lecturer was saying but I did manage to remember a few things from what I learnt last year and taught Souri how to do some of her problem sheet questions. There was a minute in the class where everyone was just whispering to one another and it got pretty loud, a girl screamed out, "SHUT UP". The lecturer looked confused and she was like, "Oh, not you. I'm just telling everyone else to shut up because I can't hear you". I sort of wish I had the nerve to do that.. but my course mates aren't so bad. Most of the time they respect the lecturer and keep their voices down if they have to whisper.

Souri
kept talking about a restaurant she discovered in Leicester and I pointed out that we hadn't gone out together in a while.. so we decided to go out on Friday night, inviting Mus, Eka, Max, Qian, etctra with us, to Terra Cotta in Leicester. It was a spur of the moment kind of thing.. I made Souri ask if the restaurant served halal meat and if not, serve a large amount of vegetarian and fish dishes..which they did :-) Qian bailed out at the last minute.. so Mus, Fol and I drove down to Leicester and met Souri and boyfriend, Marcus along with Dylan and Tim (?). It was a good buffet and we ended up at a pub for about half an hour before walking back to our cars.

I can't really recall what I did on Saturday. I remember going to the union and showing up for the Chair training.. it was interesting but nothing new, nothing I didn't really know about. The good side was that I made new acquaintances.. other than that, I think I spent most of the day at home.

Sunday was a nice day, we made a spontaneous decision to have lunch in Leicester's Flame. We parked at the Shires, had a great lunch and at the end of the day, my leg was killing me. When we got back, I was talking about how the garden needed to be mowed in time for the BBQ this weekend..and Mus said that he'd do it now. I helped rake up the grass.. but I've got this weird kink in my system that actually enjoys doing garden work. I used to help my dad out whenever he mowed the lawn but he never ever ever let me use the lawn mower.

If only daddy could see me now!!! I mowed 1/3rd of the garden!

The pain carried on up to the morning, I shouldn't have walked that much yesterday. I ended up taking painkillers to ease the pain. I'm thankful Pritpal is nice enough to pick me up every morning to get to uni and back, I just hope I'll heal enough to be able to play in the Nottingham Games, I'd probably cry if I couldn't. That would be a major upset for me.

So to summarize:
This week's work: Statistical Modelling (Thursday due) & Company Law (Friday due)
Next week's work: Differential Equations (Friday due) & Sequences and Series Class test (Friday!)

This week's happenings: BBQ at my house on Saturday!
Next week's happenings: Easter Holidays! Brunei Easter Games!!!!!

yas.

It's pathetic when you can't sleep at night over problems that should have resolved about ten hours ago. 1:30am and I'm sat in front of my laptop, doing differential equations. I'm thinking, always thinking, always over-analysing. Why can't I take my own advice? Don't over-analyse, it's always going to be over the top and in an exaggerated manner. Why can't you just go with the damn flow and see where the river takes you? Follow where it bends, who knows? Maybe you'll find a better place.

I went to bed about ten pm and couldn't seem to sleep. Thoughts keep drifting in and out of my head. What am I worried about? What's disturbing this already fragile head of mine? It's not good to feel this way. Maybe it's just the time of the month? Like days when you feel mentally disturbed and you just feel like hey, maybe today's a good day to cry and pour your heart out?

It's week 4 in Loughborough, three more weeks and then it's Easter break for a month. I've got three courseworks due in this week, I guess that's the reason behind me not posting for a while.. other than I don't really have time to sit down and type down my thoughts and doings. Anyway, since dinner is in the oven, I thought I might let everyone catch up.

The LufBru Society is having a BBQ on the 17th of March at my place, £5 members, £6 non-members. You need to reserve your place or we might have to turn you away because even though it's like a buffet.. we still need to limit numbers. RSVP to lufbru@googlemail.com.

The weekends go too quickly. I spent the whole weekend working on my group coursework with my coursemates. It took two months of preparing a presentation, fifteen minutes to present it then a month to work on the report. I took no part in preparing the group diary but I did help out in a lot of the parts eventhough there was a point when I was hopeless. lol But I enjoyed working with them, even through all our silly moments.

I barely saw Fol over the weekend, he kept himself busy with badminton, football and the guys. I don't usually have friends over at my place other than Mustanir and Qian, but my coursework group work better at Wallace than any where else.. I've a feeling we're more productive at my place than working at James France or EHB.

This week's coursework consists of the group Management Accounting, a written Sequences & Series and a computer based test on Differential Equation. Since the first two were completed over the weekend, I now can start on my Company Law coursework and also start thinking about my Corporate Finance coursework.. whose textbook just arrived in yesterday's mail which cost me £38. Textbooks these days are damn expensive, that book would have cost me £45 if I bought it on campus. Thank god for Amazon.
