I am currently sitting next to mona, who I think is happily content reading the magazine I brought down so I could borrow her laptop and update for a bit :-) I will remain in-sightful, but you can't fight the damn urges to go to sleep right? I brought my coursework here, to do of course..and I am making very good progess, thank god..but I am yet to work on my other coursework because one of them has my notes. And I don't think I'll get it off her until TUESDAY.

IMISStEHBOYFRIEND

So, the original plan was to come down to London, hang out with amy, mona, haz..etc. but errr..so far only one third of that plan has come into phase and it was almost ruined due to some very funny circumstances :-) so me and moans and haz mite be goin to london dungeon tmrw..\i cant wait thats for sure..so this isnt goin to be a long update coz i wanna go back to bed.

i'll be back again to update when i get back to lboro on monday :)

love and kisses,

Well, today didn't exactly go as planned.. but it's not like I was expecting anything special today. It's the sister's birthday today, she is now officially seventeen although I must admit I still treat her like anyone who's not even gone a day over fourteen. Gila, adi ku basar udah O.O nyarr.. I did get her presents that she picked out herself.. Two pairs of white gold earrings, except I don't really remember what they look like now, but I'm pretty sure they were nice. :-P

I tried doing some coursework this morning, but unfortunately to my dismay I didn't get much done. However, I did manage to finish copying any notes that I've missed from being sick/lazy/forgetting. So I feel a bit free-er now since they have borrowed my notes for the next few days. One of them is going to have a hard time catching up because she's missed more than half the course from being sick/work/transport troubles. They also have been talking about studying together. One of them swears it was my last minute revision (or forcing things into her head) with her worked. It worked when they came one at a time, rather than coming in to my room both at the same time. I'd probably panic and become disorganised.Though I don't think we'd be "studying" very well.. besides talking about that cute guy who used to work behind the bar at EHB, or how boring economics classes are

Speaking of economics classes, have you ever had a lecturer who goes on and on talking even though its obvious that almost (not including me of course ;-D) everyone in the lecture isn't listening and busy whispering (LOUDLY)? Then again, if they're not busy whispering, some are falling asleep behind their desks. There was a point in one of the lectures when someone fell asleep and banged his head on his desk. Poor thing. What was the response? "If you want to sleep in my lectures, that's fine. Just don't make any noise". lmao.

My morning consisted of me waking up in a sweat and dragging myself into the shower. But I managed to get myself together when I got around to putting the intensive conditioner shots, so I lounged around in my room for about an hour before getting down to some serious work. Yes, but there were a few BruStu distractions along the way.

I have a nine am lecture tomorrow morning, this particular lecturer teaches seriously fast. I don't mind going to his lectures, they're quite interesting sometimes. He writes EVERYTHING he says, literatelly. Why, today when I came in 5 minutes late, he already solved a whole two pages of this question he was going to do on the board. O.O That is seriously fast. But thankfully I managed to copy everything down before he scrolled the projector up. :-)

Today's weather was nice and warm. I even worked up a sweat walking to the printing services when I went to mail the boyfriend's errand. He keeps me on my toes he does. I'd probably do any all of his errands if he asked me to. lol :-) I gave him a ring a couple of times today, and I managed to get a few things done for him :-) I'm so proud of myself. I miss him, and being here doesn't exactly help very much. I guess by now I should be used to it, the whole long distance thing is the pits, but what can I do about it anyway? Well, I suppose I could do something about it..but that's expensive :-P

Dinner tonight was much more simplier than yesterday because today's consisted of opening a can of corned beef and just chopping up some baby cabbage. I am content because Iz cooked and washed the dishes, while I slaved myself over my Intro to Prob & Stats coursework.

My back is starting to hurt now. It's still feeling stiff. I wanted to get a massage when I was back in Brunei, but unfortunately I didn't have time. Now I'm stuck here for the next 6 weeks with a bad back. I wish someone would crack it for me. Blah.

I'm off to bed now.

yasmin.

Wednesday, April 26, 2006

Well, I did nothing particularly useful today.. except maybe max out my credit card. :-P I had a lazy start this morning, I've been feeling sluggy lately and today's am was no different. I even tried going back to bed. I don't really know why I've been feeling tired lately, I mean, I have had enough sleep = 8 hours should be sufficiently enough right? I'm feeling grateful it's an even week of Thursday tomorrow, which means I can sleep in because I don't have a 9am tutorial :-)

Somehow I managed to walk into the wrong lecture room this morning, I even sat down for a minute before realising the people around me aren't my coursemates o:-) Thank god there was still 5 minutes before the lecture started so I walked out 'like I just don't care' into the next lecture room..which was thankfully the right one. My usual partners' in crime decided to stay in bed this morning, there was a point in the lecture I wished I did too, but I snapped out of that when the lecturer decided to pass out sign-in sheets i.e. those who didn't turned up are screwed :-P

Usually when they show up to class in the morning, we have an hour in between the next class so we're sitting down in EHB (that's a building that has this mini-bar, restaurant, etc) having drinks.. me with my usual hot chocolate, and the girls with their salad with fried salmon. So instead of that today, I went back to my room to have my own chill out session with a cuppa (green tea of course). I BruStu-ed of course, like I always do whenever I have the time. May it be the morning, or just an hour before bed.. I will be brustu-ing :-)

The boyfriend is currently in Singapore, at a cooking/chef expo. I am jealous. I am terribly jealous. I wish I was there too, with him of course. I'm sure he's getting a kick out of watching all those skilled masters. Blah. I am jealous. But heck, 68 days until I come back to Brunei. God knows when I'll see him again.

Lunch was certainly unpredictable. I invited one of them over for lunch and she insisted that she try indomi, sooo.. I cooked three packets of it, one for me and two for her so she could enjoy her meal. She even insisted I put in everything of the condements. Layan. She loved it. I ate another bowl of rice with tuna before we left to find some accesories for her ballgown.

Speaking of ballgowns, I am in need of one. I'd tell my mum to DHL one or two my prom dresses, but that's just being selfish isn't it? I don't know. I'm trying to decide if I should buy a new dress or just borrow my dress from one of them. But I never did get to wear my golden prom dress :-( I wore my custom made one instead to my senior prom. Hm. Ma, if you're reading this.. what do you think?

My usual complaint for this month: I am broke. I am more broke than that broken plastic hawaiian girl that shakes her bootie whenever the car moves. Hr. That didn't make sense did it?

The dinner I made for myself and Iz tonight was not successful. I guess when you're not in the mood to cook, the mood flows into the food that you're cooking doesn't it? Horrible food.. but still edible. I think I made the cabagges too salty with osyter sauce :-) The salmon wasn't that great either, but I'm still learning how to make it actually taste nicer. I'm not used to the plain-ness of the fish. I must add salt, or even muster in a bit of soy sauce.

So for that, I think I'll turn in with a peaceful night and leave the hair tearing/scratching tomorrow. Coursework kills. 5uxx0Rs.

love,
yas.

I'm in my second day of uni for this term, the weather here is so unpredictable but you can see flowers/trees/bushes blooming everywhere! It looks like it's about to rain outside, and I'm praying it won't because I've got an economic's lecture to go to. It's been a while since I've done anything with the site, it's yellow now for one thing. Credits to the model on the left goes to that senior ;-) Brushes are from 8nero, and I got the background from the photoshop creative magazine.

Other than the weather trying to tick me off, there's nothing much to report for today. I came back to UK on the 19th and spent some time in London before heading back up to Loughborough, I went to visit the boyfriend's aunt and hung out at Brunei Hall (I even stayed there for a few days), my longest time there yet!! Moan's came down from Stock-on-Trent with her family and I spent hours and hours with her.. which put me into exhaustion :-) We went to Camden town with Haz and Izul, that was an impromptu and great trip. The most fun I've had in ages..not to mention educational. teehehe.

So. Lecture's are a drag. I'm going to one in ten minutes. Hello macroeconomics. Why are you so boring? Only sixty-nine day's until I go back to Brunei and soak in more sun rays.

Oh poo.

love,
yasmin.

ps. I hope you guys like the new layout :-) I took the photo myself.

The Cast

I'm doing this with name, originally from and you can work out the rest :P My friends are the best of people, they are big hearted, loving and kind. I love all of them to bits.. these are just a few that are involved in most of my day to day life in Loughborough, London (or bascially in UK in general) and in Brunei.

Qian/Life Support Line - China. Pronounced as Chen. She's one of my best mates in Loughborough and is doing the same course as me so we see each other every day in and out of uni. She's really nice and is not afraid to tell you what she thinks. She can be very very blunt and I love her very much ::heart:: She's a beautiful person She's half of the life support team. xxxx

Mustanir/Life Support Line - England. He's the guy that most Malays would mistake as another Malay person..but he isn't because he's British. Half Chinese at that :-P He's the other half of the life support team. Another one of my best mates, he's funny and has a seriously strong brit accent.. He's got a car.. Qian and I have the tendency to abuse that ::giggles:: but he's a great friend and I've always enjoyed the times all of us have spent together. xxxx

Ella/Sis - Brunei. Also known as Nayt, My only sibling and blood sister. She's the younger of the two of us and kicks ass at make up. A growing artist in drama and singing.. I'm very proud of her although she can be such a brat sometimes. I love her anyway and she means a heck lot to me. So mess with her, and you'll be messing with my fist. Grr.

Moans/The Girlfriend - Brunei. Also known as Mona. Moans has been my friend forever. Literately forever. We've been good friends since primary and lost touch for a while in secondary.. and now we're just as close as ever. She's the one I turn to when I need someone to just listen.. and babble on about random things. She's one of the greatest people I know and I love her very much. She is THE girlfriend, not A girlfriend but THE girlfriend. MY girlfriend. MINE. Not YOURS, MINE.

Adeline/Adebumz - Brunei. Also known as Ade/Huiz. Adeline's been my friend for a while now, I met her while I was still in JIS and I'm only her senior by a year. She's the sister I never had, she's like family to me. She can be a pain in my ass, but I love her anyway because we've stuck together through thick and thin.. and she's my bumbumz =)

Rachael/Rachbumz - Brunei. Also known as Rach. I met Rach online and in person once she came to JIS, she's the type of person you should never judge from what you hear.. i.e never judge a book by it's cover. I'm glad we got to know each other better though, online and offline. She's been a good friend with her now-very-small tummy :-p

God I've been so busy to update that I haven't really found the time to sit down and think about what I've done and talk about it. I'm self-teaching myself to make "kek lapis", or layered cakes.. it's awesome eventhough my cakes never seem to taste the same everytime I make them. lol, who knows why!

It seems like my flight will be confirmed for the 18th of April, just nine days shy of my sister's 17th birthday.. huu~ I wish I could stay longer, but exams are in a month's time so I must get busy for that. I'm having a good time back though, I've been out almost every evening with the boyfriend and it's great being able to spend time with him again even though I know he must be very busy with his own stuff. LOL, even I feel like an intruder sometimes!

I met the dA-er's the weekend before my birthday, they are awesome and funny people. Not to mention that TALL person .. *coughmikecough* who was the first one to greet me when I got to the arcade. I guess it does pay off to have your photos online arh? LOL Personally, I think foxy looks vain.. no matter how un-vain he claims to be. I love teh FOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I met my 'daughter' zeechan for the first time, she's so adorable that I might post up some photos when I get around to editing this post. Azi and Jasmine were there too, though I didn't get to talk to them much.. I'm such a weirdo. Hrr.. met Nina there too, but I duno.. lol that girl ah.. I know exactly what I said to her, "what are you doing in THAT get up?" =P She looked nice anyway, it was just not the type of outfit I'd expect to see her in :-D Fish is cute. Did I say he's cute? HE'S CUTE. He looks like one of those computer geeks that I'd easily like. Complete with glasses and a protractor *drools* Unfortunately for Rairai, he was sweating already when I met him...hehehe but I got a hug outta him anyway, and as for his boyfriend Kai, who to me, is very quiet though I've been told otherwise.. he's POKE-ABLE :-D YEsshuu..I poked him without getting into a dust fight with Rai :-P Muien was there, and I got intro-ed to his girlfriend. We watched Shaggy dog.. the movie was okay. It wsn't that great but it was funny in some parts. What I'd recommend for everyone to watch is "The Family Stone". It made me cry 3 times and laugh at the same time.. nyaaaaaaaaaa.. ITS A GOOD STORY OKAY! WATCH IT. KTHXBI

I've been playing basketball regularly.. but shit, I'm still lousy. Haha. I have fun with the girls and guys when we play though, it's been great.. though I doubt we'll be playing again since I'm leaving soon. SUCHASHAME. *cough*

I'm having relatives over tonight.. OHOHOHOH!!!! I CURLED MY HAIR :-D lol. And allowance doesn't come out til the end of the month..I have no idea how I'm gonna get back to lboro. hahaha IM BROKE. NAYHARRHAHAR~~ I might stay in London for a few days before I get back of course.. but whuuu.. I dunoo if Moan's is gonna be around :-(

Anyway. I'm off. Time to make more cakes!!

love,
yas.
