Well, today didn't exactly go as planned.. but it's not like I was expecting anything special today. It's the sister's birthday today, she is now officially seventeen although I must admit I still treat her like anyone who's not even gone a day over fourteen. Gila, adi ku basar udah O.O nyarr.. I did get her presents that she picked out herself.. Two pairs of white gold earrings, except I don't really remember what they look like now, but I'm pretty sure they were nice. :-P
I tried doing some coursework this morning, but unfortunately to my dismay I didn't get much done. However, I did manage to finish copying any notes that I've missed from being sick/lazy/forgetting. So I feel a bit free-er now since they have borrowed my notes for the next few days. One of them is going to have a hard time catching up because she's missed more than half the course from being sick/work/transport troubles. They also have been talking about studying together. One of them swears it was my last minute revision (or forcing things into her head) with her worked. It worked when they came one at a time, rather than coming in to my room both at the same time. I'd probably panic and become disorganised.Though I don't think we'd be "studying" very well.. besides talking about that cute guy who used to work behind the bar at EHB, or how boring economics classes are
Speaking of economics classes, have you ever had a lecturer who goes on and on talking even though its obvious that almost (not including me of course ;-D) everyone in the lecture isn't listening and busy whispering (LOUDLY)? Then again, if they're not busy whispering, some are falling asleep behind their desks. There was a point in one of the lectures when someone fell asleep and banged his head on his desk. Poor thing. What was the response? "If you want to sleep in my lectures, that's fine. Just don't make any noise". lmao.
My morning consisted of me waking up in a sweat and dragging myself into the shower. But I managed to get myself together when I got around to putting the intensive conditioner shots, so I lounged around in my room for about an hour before getting down to some serious work. Yes, but there were a few BruStu distractions along the way.
I have a nine am lecture tomorrow morning, this particular lecturer teaches seriously fast. I don't mind going to his lectures, they're quite interesting sometimes. He writes EVERYTHING he says, literatelly. Why, today when I came in 5 minutes late, he already solved a whole two pages of this question he was going to do on the board. O.O That is seriously fast. But thankfully I managed to copy everything down before he scrolled the projector up. :-)
Today's weather was nice and warm. I even worked up a sweat walking to the printing services when I went to mail the boyfriend's errand. He keeps me on my toes he does. I'd probably do any all of his errands if he asked me to. lol :-) I gave him a ring a couple of times today, and I managed to get a few things done for him :-) I'm so proud of myself. I miss him, and being here doesn't exactly help very much. I guess by now I should be used to it, the whole long distance thing is the pits, but what can I do about it anyway? Well, I suppose I could do something about it..but that's expensive :-P
Dinner tonight was much more simplier than yesterday because today's consisted of opening a can of corned beef and just chopping up some baby cabbage. I am content because Iz cooked and washed the dishes, while I slaved myself over my Intro to Prob & Stats coursework.
My back is starting to hurt now. It's still feeling stiff. I wanted to get a massage when I was back in Brunei, but unfortunately I didn't have time. Now I'm stuck here for the next 6 weeks with a bad back. I wish someone would crack it for me. Blah.
I'm off to bed now.
love,
yasmin.
